Category: Accessible Games
I recently misplaced my laptop charger, and the only piece of technology I have is my BrailleNote. Aww, no more mudding. I'm so sick of Interactive fiction, but I still want to play games. Unfortunately I can't play RSGames, and I don't have a dice for gamebooks. Does anyone know of good browser-base games? PLEASE NO LoGD STUFF! Please provide the homepage and register links, as some times it can be hard to find registration links.
ashes of angels, core-exiles, ogame, bitefight, hockeyarena, hattrick, ikariam, zorgempire, furry-paws,...
City Empires and Kingdom of Loathing come to mind. Neither is LOGD stuff. What's that one where you breed, sell, and show cats?
Cat Tails
Furry Paws
I am looking for one with horses.
You could try Alter Ego, it's a life simulation game. I didn't see that one mentioned yet. I also second the Kingdom of Loathing recommendation, although I'm not sure how much success you'll have playing it on a Braille Note.
Oops, I forgot that Braille Note part. How do those things handle framed pages? KOL on my Levelstar Icon was an "interesting" experience; LOL. City Empires is tables of stats; that might be tough on the BN, as well, but, try them both, it won't cost you. In Cat Tails, I had some Maine Coons, but they weren't of show quality, I think.
There's Also 1000 AD. That has lots of stats also but it was fun, I did it when I had time off a couple years ago, back in 2009 I think it was.
Cat Tails was closed. There is a new cat site where you can show and breed cats. It's called ailouros. The site is ailouros.net and It is opening to the public on may 24.
Maybe there's one for dogs, called Best In Show? LOL; great movie!
You could also try PhantasyRPG, or Tarranoth.
The URL for the former is: http://www.phantasyrpg.com
and the url for the latter is:
http://www.tarranoth.com
The former is more complete, the latter is the game I've been working on for awhile...it's awfully quiet but if you want to give it a try, feel free.
